I’ve sold my story Between Dry Ribs to The Dark magazine for their February 2016 issue.  The story travels from St. Martin to Finland, in search of the healthy benefits of a good sauna.  Here’s a taste: In the mirror, the parents are studying the menu in a sort of [read more…]

I’ve sold my story “Spinning the Thread” to Kaleidotrope, for publication sometime in 2014.  It’s sort of a historical fantasy gangster horror story. Sort of.  And, along with “Lost Wax” upcoming in the Asimov’s August issue, one of a set of transformational love stories.  Sort of.

It’s with no small delight that I can announce that my short story The Telling has sold to the excellent Fantasy fiction website Beneath Ceaseless Skies.  It should be appearing sometime in the second half of 2012; more info coming as I get it.

My novelette “Slow Boat“, which originally appeared in the April/May issue of Asimov’s Science Fiction, will be reprinted in Russian in ESLI, Russia’s oldest Science Fiction and Fantasy magazine.  I’ll post more details here as I learn them.

My novelette Slow Boat is in the August 2010 issue of Asimov’s Science Fiction, in stores now!  Read an excerpt on their site here. And more about the story here.

My short story Freia in the Sunlight has sold to Asimov’s Science Fiction!  Many many thanks to Sheila Williams, the Editor at Asimov’s, who asks tricky questions and expects good answers. See below for more on the story.  I’ll post about issue dates and such as soon as I know myself!
